VIC Gov Announces Skyrail 2.0 and the natives are restless

The State Government today announced its plans for the Kooyong and Coburg level crossing removal projects and not everyone is happy. Both projects will be delivered as elevated ‘skyrail’ with works to commence shortly. The Kooyong section has raised the most ire with Toorak residents actively protesting the proposal and accusing the government of failing to properly consult resident groups.

The Coburg section will focus on Moreland Rd, Reynard St, Munro St and Bell St with images released today of the new station designs at Coburg and Moreland. Toorak will be delivered by Metro, Laing O’Rourke and Jacobs.
