Georgiou awarded $78m Spring Farm Parkway contract
Georgiou Group has been awardedt he contract for the $78 million Spring Farm Parkway stage one project by Transport for New South Wales.
The project includes the construction of a new four-lane, one-kilometre divided road connecting Menangle Road to Menangle Park Urban Release Area, in New South Wales. It also includes an interchange over the Hume Highway with on and off ramps, shared-use path and four new signalised intersections.
Spring Farm Parkway at Menangle Park will ultimately provide a connection between Camden Bypass, the Hume Motorway and Menangle Road, to provide an east-west link which services existing and future residential land releases and supports the Greater Macarthur Growth Area.
It will also provide safe and efficient access to and from the Hume Motorway, improved travel time reliability and efficiency for road users, and deliver a safe and effective crossing for pedestrians and cyclists over the Hume Motorway to Broughton Anglican College.
Executive General Manager Eastern Region, Gary Georgiou, said the company would use its roads experience on the East Coast to deliver the project.
